I like to travel. I mean who doesn’t enjoy a little get away. For everyone I told that I had to make a last-minute run to Las Vegas, I knew what to expect. Eye rolling, “yeah buddy, go have fun with your gambling and strippers”. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case as I had to go with the girls to tend to some unfortunately family problems. It was a tough few days, even more difficult because I was itching to shoot, but really couldn’t. I was able to sneak out one morning before everyone woke up and was back in time for breakfast. I sped the little rental Ford focus as fast as I could to try to beat the sun to Red Rock Canyon, which is just west of Vegas. It was a great park, with many over achieving cyclist taking on the martian terrain and the 13 mile scenic road. I have to admit that when I packed, I did not pack my trusty Tokina 11-16mm. Why I do not know, but I shot these photos with my 35mm f1.8. Next time I’m going to go for fun and want to spend more time, maybe even go to the Valley of Fire. Hope you enjoy. Oh, BTW, the panoramic was shot manual and was stitched up using MS I.C.E. and is composed of 37 photos, handheld.
Cheers!
Smile and have a great day!
Robert
